Lamp Community is an innovative Los Angeles based nonprofit organization that permanently ends homelessness, improves health and builds self-sufficiency among homeless men and women living with severe mental illness.
Position Overview:-
Lamp Community is searching for a multi-talented individual to join our Program Management team. The Program Manager will manage a challenging community residence that provides low threshold housing and comprehensive clinical and supportive services to formerly homeless people with a severe mental illness and substance abuse issues.
The Program Manager will provide:
- day-to-day management of operations at the site;
- oversight to ensure that each participant’s self-identified goals for recovery, rehabilitation and community integration are supported by appropriate services and best practices;
- supervision and training to interdisciplinary clinical and program staff using a collaborative team approach;
- management of program budget, government contract and data collection/analysis;
- development and implementation of program polices and procedures;
- oversight and evaluation of performance and effectiveness of housing and services.
Other duties include preparing reports for internal use and for funding agencies. Reporting to the Director of Programs, will assure conformity to Lamp’s model which emphasizes customer choice, harm reduction and doing whatever it takes to help people thrive in permanent housing and progress toward recovery and wellness.
Requirements/Qualifications:-
- BA or MSW preferred. 4 years related experience with at least 2 years supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with harm reduction, permanent supportive housing and community based mental health services. Strong leadership, team-building and organizational skills.
- Experience with DMH Medi-Cal services. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Creative, flexible and highly motivated.
