Partners for Women and Justice was founded in 2002 by attorneys Grace M. Lozito and Jane M. Hanson and has since provided a variety of free, quality services to underserved women, exclusively in the areas of domestic violence and family law. Since its founding, Partners has helped more than a thousand women by offering technical and procedural advice, legal advice and counsel, pro bono legal representation and referrals. 

Financial support for our programs comes from individuals, law firms, corporations, the State of New Jersey, non-governmental funding agencies (United Ways,  the IOLTA Fund of the Bar of New Jersey, The Hyde & Watson Foundation, The Mont clair Foundation, Montclair Fund for Women, Jewish Women’s Foundation of New Jersey), and several family foundations (The Nicholson Foundation, Trust Under the Will of E. Franklin Robbins and Anonymous).

Position: Client Service Specialist

The following position is available at this new best practice model domestic violence initiative:

• The Client Service Specialist is responsible for assisting clients to access on-site services in a co-located multi-disciplinary service center for victims of domestic violence.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct a brief screening interview
• Develop preliminary service plan
• Facilitate referrals
• Case management
• Assist with short term and concrete needs of victims
• Collect demographic and screening information

Additional qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
• Ability to speak Spanish
• Knowledge of domestic violence
• Organizational skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Computer knowledge (specifically Word, Power Point, Excel, Internet, Outlook)
• Successful completion of a criminal record check
