Project Sunshine empowers a dynamic and dedicated corps of over 10,000 volunteers to bring programming - recreational (arts), educational (tutoring and mentoring) and social service (HIV and nutritional counseling) - to over 60,000 children facing medical challenges and their families in 100 major cities across the United States and in five international satellite sites: Canada, China, Israel, Kenya and Puerto Rico.
Internships - Winter 2010
Project Sunshine is currently seeking college interns for the winter semester of 2010. Our exciting internship program provides students with a well-rounded experience at a thriving nonprofit organization.
Intern should have:
- Strong oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- The desire to learn about the nonprofit sector
- Event planning experience a plus
- Volunteer coordination experience a plus
Intern is responsible for:
- Planning and attending volunteer events
- Supporting staff in the planning of fundraising events
- Coordinating community outreach
- Assisting with grant writing
- Assisting with general office work
Interns must be available at least 20 hours per week from January 4th to January 29th.
