Small Business Technical Assistance Provider
Account Manager, NYC Business Solutions-Lower Manhattan Center (Req#09-48)
Position Overview:
Seedco is seeking highly a motivated individual to provide business consulting and technical assistance to small business customers at its Lower Manhattan Business Solutions Center in the Financial District. The Account Manager will serve as a relationship manager and primary point of contact between the business customer and the Center. S/he will provide specialized technical support to small businesses in need of financing and business launch. The position requires working knowledge of small business assistance and business support programs in New York City.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting general outreach activities to businesses as well as specialized outreach to businesses in prominent small business sectors, such as restaurants, retail, ecommerce or professional services;
- Providing business consulting services to clients including financial statement review, business structure guidance, and marketing strategy;
- Connecting businesses to financial, technical, and employment services provided by Seedco and its partners; and
- Building partnerships with local organizations and resource providers to implement special sect oral or neighborhood initiatives.
Required Qualification/Skills:
- At least 3+ years of relevant experience;
- Graduate degree a must, MBA/MPA preferred;
- Experience working with small businesses, community-based organizations, community groups and/or government programs a must;
- Demonstrated knowledge of small business assistance, business support and incentive programs in New York City;
- An understanding of business structures and/or marketing experience; direct underwriting experience, accounting and/or cash management is a plus
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, and have the ability to work effectively under pressure in both a team setting and individually;
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills;
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment;
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills;
- Commitment to innovative initiatives in business services and workforce development.
Compensation:
Salary range of high $40s to low $50s depending on background and experience. Full benefits package. EEO employer.
