    Solutions for Progress Inc., is a progressive, privately held, public policy technology company located in Philadelphia which created and supports an Internet-based software called The Benefit Bank (TBB). TBB assists low and moderate income households in maximizing their tax credits and their entitlement to an array of public benefits. TBB offers services through a network of social service agencies, community-based organizations and faith communities.     FUNCTION:-

    Implement financial activities and improve financial management capability of the organization under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer. Help develop and implement new methods for financial planning and control, by performing the following duties.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:-

    • Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, cash flow, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. Provide management with timely reviews of organization's financial status and progress within its various programs and activities.
    • Working with CFO, implement budget process and dashboard(s), setting priorities, assisting middle management, reviewing budget proposals, and preparing necessary supporting data, documentation and justification.
    • Conduct special studies as needed to analyze complex financial actions and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action.
    • Work with outside accountants on accounting practices and theory as they relate to internal accounting, audits and related.
    • Recommend and implement modifications to existing corporate financial programs, policies and practices.
    • Manage fiscal associate for accounts payable and accounts receivable.

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:-

    [ X ] Undergraduate Degree

    EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Accounting skills, four or more years accounting experience, CPA strongly preferred
    • Proficiency with QuickBooks and the full Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with cost accounting in a technology environment
    • Experience administering government contracts useful
    • Ability to accurately manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
    • Professionalism and confidentiality; initiative and leadership ability
    • Ability to work well in multiple team structures
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
