JetBlue Partners with Art Saves Lives in St. Maarten

Aug 18, 2015 11:30 AM ET

For the second year in a row, JetBlue was a proud sponsor of the Art Saves Lives Program (ASLP) in St. Maarten which took place, June 27 through July 4. ASLP is a cross-cultural exchange between youth in need and experienced practicing artists who seek to use their talents for positive change. To support ASLP, JetBlue provided roundtrip flights for 13 outstanding students to attend dance and theater classes in New York at Broadway Center, Steps on Broadway, Alvin Ailey Dance School, Dance Theatre of Harlem and Cumbe Dance Center.

This collaborative project selects renowned artists from around the world who use the arts to introduce participants to global and local traditions and empower them with the life skills necessary to effectively deal with the demands and challenges of everyday life. The program also provides guidance for young artists with aspirations in pursuing a career in the arts.
