Lockheed Martin as a High-Trust Workplace

When Lockheed Martin formed 20 year ago, we developed a set of core values and a code of conduct to guide us, and we continue to be a leader in integrity today.

Lockheed Martin’s 2015 Sustainability Report details our management processes and progress in Governance. Our objective is to continually enhance efforts to uphold high standards and controls for ethical business conduct, compliance and transparency. Conducting business with utmost integrity and trust encourages a high-performing and transparent work environment, which attracts more customers and the best talent, improving our profitability and competitive standing.

For example, only about 1 in 8 Lockheed Martin employees who report alleged misconduct do not disclose their identity, which is far below the global benchmark for anonymous reporting of 61%. This contrast suggests that our employees may feel protected from retaliation when reporting they think something is wrong.
