In 2020, Naked and KeVita have committed $150,000 to Whole Planet Foundation to fund microloans for people living in poverty where Whole Foods Market sources products. How does it work? Low-income entrepreneurs take a small loan - the current average first loan size supported by Whole Planet Foundation is $176, with no formal collateral or contract - to create or expand a microbusiness for the opportunity to generate income for themselves and their families.

To alleviate global poverty through Whole Planet Foundation, Naked is a repeat member of the $100,000 Fund, pledging $100,000 in 2020 and KeVita is a repeat member of the Supplier Alliance for Microcredit, pledging $50,000 in 2020.

Whole Planet Foundation’s global portfolio includes the United States and 76 other countries.  Watch this video to see leaders of the Pepsi Co. Premium Natural Team witness the impact of their generosity in South Africa in September 2019.  Michelle Long, Director-Natural Channel, Katie Kowalski, Strategy Manager-Natural Channel, and Sara Martindale, who at the time served as Senior Customer Manager–Natural traveled with Whole Planet Foundation to meet microcredit clients of our microfinance partner Small Enterprise Foundation.

Whole Planet Foundation’s global impact has funded 4 million microloans thanks to supplier donors - like Naked and KeVita - who have contributed more than $14 million for poverty alleviation.  Please join these brands in making a difference by supporting microbusinesses through Whole Planet Foundation.
