After months of intensive training and fundraising, a team of nearly 40 CSC employees, clients and partners tested their physical limits by competing in a 152-kilometer stage of the Tour de France bicycle race. The effort was done in support of child welfare in Bucharest, Romania via the charitable association SOS Children’s Villages. The CSC Gives Back: Tour de Force team successfully raised €43,000 that will go towards providing children with a supportive home, education, healthcare, and social activities.

With the participation and support of 9 clients and partners, the CSC team came from 9 European countries to the French Alps over the weekend of July 8th. The race, called Etape du Tour, is a stage of the professional Tour de France bike race that is open to amateurs. Just a few days before the professionals, the CSC team raced over four major mountain passes from Albertville to La Toussuire.

The CSC team organized various fundraising activities leading up to the race, including bake sales, raffles and outdoor activities. Currently, CSC is organizing a visit to Bucharest to meet the children and to discuss additional means of supporting the children, such as mentoring.
