About Awofadeju:

Awofadeju Oluwaseun; Trained by the Environmental Development and Family Health Organisation (EDFHO) at the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti in 2003, administered EDFHO’s in-school youth initiative; the Health Awareness Club as the President,2007, demonstrated also his interest in democratic leadership when he served as the Speaker, Student’s Legislative Council in the school’s Union Government. He further developed him self, attending the Youth Leadership Programme of LEAP Africa at the Bratim Center, National Library Complex Abuja (MALT Group) 2007, a member of the 101 ‘Young African Leaders’ at the 5th African Business Leaders Forum (ABLF) in Accra, Ghana; the first appearance of young people in such high powered forum, selected and participated in the ‘Top 12’ Youth Works project training Organised by the British Council and Young Stars Foundation at Educare Trust Center Ibadan Oyo-State. Having flair for a practically oriented technical education, he was awarded a Higher National Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering with bias for Manufacturing and Production Technology; at the Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Having being involved in numerous international youth projects, he participated in the 2008 World Bank Essay Competition on the topic “SHAPING THE CITY OF MY DREAM” and was awarded a Diploma certificate to his credit. He participated in the Nigerian Youth Summit 2008, organised by the Federal Ministry of Youths and the National Youth Council of Nigeria in Abuja representing the National Youth Service Corp Members in Edo-State. He is at the moment observing the compulsory one year National Youth Service in Edo-State and a member of the NYSC/MDGs project.

What kind of positive change do you want to create in the world over the next 12 months?:

A PROJECT ON REDUCTION OF JUVENILE EXPOSURE TO SPIRITS, TOBACCO, CANNABIS AND SUCH OTHER HARD DRUGS.
