General Information

About Bridget:	I joined LEAD International in June 2008 undertaking a variety of tasks in support of cohort training, including designing and supporting the LEAD Fellows online community, as well as other initiatives of LEAD International. A native New Yorker, I moved to the UK in September 2007 to undertake a Masters at the London School of Economics and Political Science for an MSc in Gender, Development, and Globalisation. I hold dual Irish and American citizenship. Prior to my position at LEAD, I worked in a number of positions with various organizations including: the Young Survival Coalition, coordinating resources for young women suffering from breast cancer; the Eleanor Roosevelt Centre at Val-Kill, administrating their Young Girl’s Leadership Workshop; and UK Parliament, as Research Assistant to Labour MP William Olner. I am also a certified youth trainer under the Youth in Action Programme of the European Union. With a B.A. in Political Science from Marist College in New York, I also volunteered for a number of community development charities throughout university. Besides sustainable development and human rights I have a passion for music, both singing and playing the harp since childhood. I am a member of a group called “The Strings of Tara” which released their first album in 2007. I believe that my love of music and its transcending power was the foundation to shaping my passion for building a more connected, sustainable, and equal world!
