Chris graduated from Valparaiso University with an individualized major in Education/International Development coupled with two semesters in southern Africa.
After college, Chris was Service Leader at City Year Boston then became Program Manager for the start-up team of City Year Washington D.C.
Chris went on to co-found Youth Action South Africa, headquartered in
Johannesburg. The organization was designed to inspire the spirit of service within South African youth, while developing the competencies necessary for employment.
Recently, Chris was the Program Director for The National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE). There he managed the implementation, growth and development of all NFTE programs in New York City.
Chris sits on the Alumni Board of City Year New York, was a 2006 Coro Leadership New York Fellow, and recipient of Valparaiso University’s Outstanding Young Alumna Award. In June 2005, he was awarded the Comcast Corporation Leadership Award for his continued commitment to community service and social entrepreneurship. |
