General Information

About Domian:	I am a Kenyan citizen 48 years and married. We have been blessed with four children ages between 4months and 15 years. I was born and brought up in a poor environment and only managed to go to school from odd jobs I did in my home town Kitale in the Rift Valley of Kenya until 1979. In 1980 I got a job with a seed company as a store clerk. At that time I was living with an American Baptist Missionary family who assisted me complete my form four . The missionary the late Mr Don Bliss being an educator advised me that I did need to further my education. So I saved some little money with him and after one year he send me to school and joined form five in Mombasa Baptist High school. My fees was paid for by him for the two years in high school. After I finished high school I went back to Kitale and started teaching in a secondary school. Later Mr Bliss hired me as a Mombasa Baptist high school librarian just a few months before his return to US on leave and never returned to work here again. After working as a librarian I was given a chance to teach Christian Religious Education and the students did so well in the subject . I then went to kenya Baptist Theological college and Attained a Diploma in Theology. I have taught Christian Religious Education in the school for many years now. The last two years I started a Baptist Church in a slum area Mshomoroni, in Mombasa to reach the poor in a muslim dorminated area. In this area we have very poor people who cannot even afford a meal. Many children do not even have uniform to go to school. In some school the children do not even have desks to use and books to write in. Together with starting a church I did register Don Bliss Foundation with the government of Kenya. This is an organization that is out to assist the less fortunate in our society. Our website is-www.donblissfoundation.com Just as I was assisted I want to do the same that through this orgabnization many poor kenyan children may get an education just as I did. One student has already benefited as his school fees was paid for by a good samaritan for four years. Some have also got some assistence of clothes, food and jobs through my assistence.
