Ellen Osborne-Smith has over 7 years of experience with socially responsible initiatives. She has worked with non-profits and public agencies on financial management, operations systems, capacity building, and strategy development. Most recently, at a tsunami recovery project in Aceh province, Indonesia, she advised on program design, communications, and capacity building. Prior to that, she specialized in data tracking and analysis for the forecasting and management of administrative and program spending at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts welfare department. As a part of this work, Ellen initiated projects to facilitate financial decision making and internal controls which assisted senior management increasing focus on core client services. Ellen began her career providing English language and cultural transition training to immigrants and refugees through community based workforce development programs.
