General Information

About Frederick:	My research interests is in water resource engineering and sustainable materials and their applications. Specifically I am pursuing the research of materials in the use of water and wastewater treatment and possibly the integration of those sustainable materials for energy harvesting. The majority of the technology based in the materials used for water and wastewater treatment and distribution are 50 to 2000 years old. I believe that materials and processes could be developed and implemented so that the efficient design and installation of vital infrastructure could be created so that clean water and sanitary sewer can be made affordable and guaranteed for everyone, no matter where they live. I believe that the energy, resources and capital spent on treating human and environmental illnesses resultant from the lack of clean water and facilities should not be measurable in any society.
