I'm a student at Indiana University in Bloomington, due to graduate in May of 2010. I'm earning an Individualized Major in Nonprofit Retail in Apparel. I'm interested in social entrepreneurship in apparel manufacturing and retail, particularly because the apparel industry touches every nation on earth and has huge potential as a vehicle to create and promote human rights. I'm interested in nonprofits that want to supplement or replace their fundraising with the retail of a product, which I think may be the key to surviving today's economy. I'm also interested in ethical companies with a double bottom line and a focus on human rights.
What kind of positive change do you want to create in the world over the next 12 months?:
In the next year, I need to find an internship that will let me apply my creativity, my ideas, and my education.
