About Mark:	what i'm doing right now acting managing director for xigi.net, a social network for people investing in good; co-launching xigiMedia that will produce the event Social Capital Markets 2008 in San Francisco; consulting for Halloran Philanthropies analyzing micro-finance, renewable energy and new capital while mapping and cataloging key social initiatives; joined as a member of the board of directors of the Bucky Fuller Institute; Longtime Board Member of the Leonardo Journal; helping to raise capital for an investment fund of GoodCapital that will invest in companies and non-profit social enterprises; founding Piedra, a cooperative that will help support sustainable businesses in oaxaca and contribute to the general well-being there; I was born in Omaha and now live in Oaxaca. In between I've lived and worked in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. I'm interested in Social Capital, Collective Intelligence, Art & Technology, Pattern Recognition, Spatial Intelligence and Mapping. Ideas and capital now flow based on attention. Since we are primarily still a species that assesses its environment visually, the design and circulation of images and iconography is truly important, particularly as the sheer volume of information invading our senses explodes. Thus my work merges business, art, entertainment, media and design worlds.
