General Information

About Martin:	Martin Joseph Dudziak is the founder and Chief Strategic Officer of TETRADYN, LLC, a company in the business of environmental and energy analysis and solutions. Go visit http://TETRADYN.COM He is also the Executive Director of the Institute for Sustainable Communities, a non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating emergency environmental, health, energy, and safety provisions for communities and sites affected by catastrophes and other critical events. Martin’s professional background spans from basic and applied research in physics, biophysics and nanomaterials to analytical systems and product development. Prior research and project management includes advanced sensing and monitoring solutions for environmental, medical, and military challenges. He has worked as a scientist, engineer and manager for corporations including Battelle Laboratories, Intel Corp., ST Microelectronics, and Martin-Marietta (Lockheed-Martin). He has also taught on the Physics and Biomedical Engineering faculties at the Medical College of Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth Univ.). In addition he founded and led the technical development at innovator firms including Silicon Dominion (nanomaterials and sensor networks) and MODIS (magneto-optic nondestructive sensing). Recent work has focused on refining and improving methods for rapid and accurate collection, analysis and forecasting of life-critical environmental conditions, developing multimodal sensor fusion, inverse methods and intelligent sensor networks. Through his research, management and other professional activities Martin has developed strategic models for the effective and sustainable growth of innovative projects and business, and also techniques and tools for adapting novel technologies to established markets and niches. He has been active as a consultant and specialist to private and public organizations in matters of chemical/biological sensing and monitoring, public bioprotection, defense and homeland security, and even in service to the eco-sustainable consumer products world. A graduate of Colgate Univ., Johns Hopkins Univ., and The Union Institute and University (PhD in physics), Martin has over 100 publications and has been an active presenter in conferences, workshops and training programs on emergency response, disaster management, and CBRNE monitoring (Nomad Eyes). He has conducted research projects (funding from NIH, DOE, NSF and Dept. of Defense), including collaborations with partners in Latin America, Europe and Russia, and he has also engaged in a number of humanitarian projects based upon science and technology (Lincos, Digital Nations, Futures Gateway, EcOasis). Martin has three children in college, lives with his wife Marina in Richmond, Virginia, and enjoys a diversified life enhanced with art, exercise, sports and the sincere pursuit of happiness. His main wish in life is to be able to Work, to be able to earn at least a minimal survival salary, to not see his family starve, nor himself, and to see his lifework not be cast aside as it has been as being totally worthless. He would also like to resettle back in Michigan and to get away from Richmond, Va which is just a temporary place due to economics of survival.
