I am a writer/editor and community organizer focusing on social justice, sustainability, and travel. I write on issues of urban agriculture/food justice, green jobs, local community issues, abuse of corporate power, peace & militarism, and local/world travel. I strive to place stories and issues within a broader context and to link the local with the global.
I have experience in new media, web content, news, advocacy, people profiles, organizational profiles, travel guides, interviewing, editing and proofreading, fact sheets, and documentary film and book reviews.
I also have 5+ experience teaching in the Humanities (Philosophy, Critical Thinking, Environmental Ethics, Comparative Religions, World History) at the college level and 2 years experience as a community organizer and activist for non-profits working on peace, social justice, and sustainability issues. I speak intermediate Spanish and have traveled to or lived in over 15 countries.
