six/michael silberman is a second-year M.S. Engineering candidate in the Arts Computation Engineering program at the University of California, Irvine. His research focuses on 'organized networks', 'digital formations', 'information architecture', 'collective intelligence', 'social enterprise', 'coordination and collaboration', 'political economy', 'governance', and other interactions and tensions between technology, organization, politics, economics, and culture.
Presently he works as an information architect and web database application developer for (1) StartingBloc, a New York City-based not-for-profit network that hosts educational institutes and facilitates collaborative engagement around 'social entrepreneurship', 'corporate social responsibility', 'sustainability', and 'cross-sector partnerships' and (2) the New University, UC Irvine's student-run weekly newspaper.
