Spenser Villwock is the Executive Director of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC). The IEC is a trade association that represents hundreds of energy contractors in Colorado. The IEC is Colorado's largest electrical training institution, with over 600 students enrolled in the US Department of Labor accredited program yearly.
Spenser is keenly focused on keeping contractors at the cutting edge of the New Energy Economy through innovative workforce development training. Renewable energy and energy efficiency curriculum is the staple of the Energy Academy, an initiative launched a month after he took the leadership role at IEC.
Spenser is the President Ex-Officio of Board of Directors for the Boulder Green Building Guild, an Executive Board Member of the Constructors and Designers Alliance, a Trustee of Building Jobs for Colorado, and an active member of the Colorado Society of Association Executives and the United States Green Building Council.
