Dear Madam/Sir
I have over nine years of experience in a progressive responsible capacity in a multi-cultural environment in India and abroad; Over four years with business houses and their Corporate Social Responsibility (1996-97 & 2005-2008); two years with international funding organisations (2001 & 2004); and three years with national and international non-profit organisations (1999-2000 & 2002-03) in the areas of Programme Analysis, Institutional Capacity Building, Participatory Processes & Project Management; Social Policy Analysis; Partnership Strategies, NGO Management and Accountability Systems.
The scope of work undertaken by me during various assignments has included sector analysis and strategic envisioning, network building with partner organisations, liaison and linkage with donors and governments; grant management (identification and appraisal of non-government organisations, project development, funding and review); and program monitoring and evaluation.
I have been actively working in the programmatic areas of community-led livelihoods generation, micro-finance, participatory governance, and social and economic development of children, women and other vulnerable groups.
I am currently working with DLF SEZ Developers Ltd. (DLF Ltd. Group) as “Sr.Manager-CSR” to frame strategy for the effective implementation of company’s R&R (Rehabilitation and Resettlement) policy in line with Government’s policy for the SEZ (Special Economic Zone). I am also responsible for other welfare initiatives as prescribed and mandated for common CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy of the Group.
In my last assignment (March 2005-March 2007) I have worked with Times Foundation (The Times of India Group), as an “Adviser” with a mandate to forge scalable collaborations among the different stakeholders in the development sector and Provide leadership & strategic envisioning to the Foundation’s development programs.
In 2001, I was Country Support Officer with Canadian Crossroads International (CCI), primarily responsible for conducting participatory assessment of CCI's operations in the partner countries i.e., India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan and Bangladesh.
In another role I was Coordinator Campaigns with the International Secretariat of the Global March against Child Labour, responsible for developing programmes on advocacy and lobbying at national and international levels for the elimination of Child labour and for Education for all.
I have also been a local consultant on an International Monitoring Mission; evaluating European Union (EU) and World Bank funded projects in India, through my tenure with the Foundation for Development Initiative (FDI).
