i'm currently the organizing director for the responsible endowments coalition, a national network of student activists pushing their schools to become active shareholders and finance community development and the green economy. i love working with inspired activists in the corporate accountability and solidarity economy movements. economic justice is where it's at.
What kind of positive change do you want to create in the world over the next 12 months?:
i hope to push more schools to become democratic institutions that give students a say in how their money is invested. i hope to help students push their schools to become active owners, challenging corporate practices that are harmful to people and the environment. i also hope to move some endowments into community investment, directly financing the alternative economic models to empower communities instead of enriching corporations.
