For the past two years, we've been building our non-profit practice. The biggest issue facing non-profit is the acquisition of top flight talent. Like the private sector, there is a war for talent in the non-profit space as well. The scarcity of talent is compounded by the passive recruiting techniques (waiting for applicants to respond to job postings).
There is great opportunity to apply tools and techniques of private sector search to non-profit world and, in certain functional areas, (finance and IT for example) opportunity to proactively seek new blood from the private sector to complement existing skills.
