I am a consultant based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I work internationally on standards, accreditation, certification, and labeling issues. My experience includes serving as Research Associate to the Taskforce on the Churches and Corporate Responsibility, Vice-chair of the Forest Stewardship Council’s (FSC) International Board of Directors, Founding chair of FSC Canada, Deputy Executive Director & Operations Director of FSC International, Member of the Canadian Delegation to ISO TC 207 (developing the ISO 14000 series of standards), a founder of the International Social and Environmental Accreditation and Labelling Alliance (ISEAL), and member of the ASI Accreditation Committee.
I participate in the development of national and international standards through both ISO and independent systems. In addition to other duties, I managed the FSC’s international accreditation system, including both new applicants and ongoing monitoring.

What kind of positive change do you want to create in the world over the next 12 months?:
I work to improve collaborations of the unusual suspects - individuals and groups that do not normally work together. This is the foundation for building innovative, just and equitable solutions to environmental and social challenges.
