Dr. Dan Stinchcomb is CEO and President of Inviragen, a biotechnology company focused on developing vaccines for emerging infectious diseases worldwide. Inviragen’s lead product is a vaccine to protect against dengue fever, a mosquito-borne disease that affects ½ of the world’s population. Inviragen also has vaccines for West Nile, chikungunya, HPV, and avian influenza in various stages of research and development.
Inviragen has established key collaborations with international vaccine manufacturers, non-profit vaccine initiatives, government research organizations and university researchers. Dr. Stinchcomb brings over twenty years of biotechnology management and scientific experience to Inviragen and was an Associate Professor at Harvard University. He is an inventor on over 20 issued US patents and author on more than 30 scientific articles. He received a PhD degree in Biochemistry from Stanford University and a BA degree from Harvard.
