Part A.) Best Practices in Corporate Non-Financial Reporting using the GRI framework
This workshop will explore the changes in business context and drivers of sustainability within organizations.  Participants will learn:
How to differentiate between philanthropy and strategic social and environmental management
How to analyze and communicate on the ROI of sustainability reporting 
Identify the main characteristics of the GRI framework for reporting
The five phases of sustainability reporting
How to develop a project work plan and overview of the best practice activities for each phase of sustainability reporting
Prepare a realistic time line for covering the major activities necessary to complete a GRI report
Part B.) Green Ranking and Indices – Relevance for Long Term Sustainability
The second part of the day will be run by Michael Muyot, the Founder and President of CRD Analytics.  CRD Analytics recently developed the methodology for publishing the Global 1000 ranking on Justmeans, hailed as the “most credible and authoritative sustainability performance ranking available”.   Participants will learn:
Why senior management and board members should care about sustainability rankings
How rating agencies evaluate companies  
What the most relevant indexes are rankings are
What indicators institutional investors and financial analysts are tracking in non-financial disclosures 
Analysis on how reporting on the Global Reporting Initiative’s G3 guidelines influences perception of CSR initiatives
An overview of the Global 1000 methodology and future updates on Justmeans.com
Part C.) Ten Case Studies on Corporate Non-Financial Reporting in an Age of Social Media
Recent advances in social and digital media make corporate social and environmental performance data more accessible to a wide variety of stakeholders.  This presents both opportunities and challenges for companies committed to non-financial disclosure.   This workshop will explore a series of case studies on how leading companies are using the latest digital media tools to activate, engage, and inspire influential stakeholders.   Through a series of case studies, participants will learn:
The most relevant online platforms and initiatives
Best practices in online reporting 
Key pitfalls and risks of poor engagement including specific examples of what not to do when engaging online
