$358,500 From Lockheed Martin Employees Support 29 Fort Worth-Area Non-Profit Agencies

FORT WORTH, Texas, May 5, 2017 /3BL Media/ – Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) AERO Club, an employee-run charity, delivered grants totaling $358,500 to Fort Worth-area agencies primarily serving children, families, healthcare and social services.

The AERO Club raises funds through an annual employee charity campaign and a board of Fort Worth-based employees work with local agencies to determine the best opportunities to allocate the donations.

“Lockheed Martin Aeronautics’ employees contribute to more than 513 charitable organizations,” said AERO Club Administrator Susan Wright. “Thousands of generous Lockheed Martin employees give a portion out of their paycheck weekly to benefit the community and help their fellow employees facing dire circumstances.” 

The grants released today support the following agencies and programs:

Fort Worth Museum of Science and History – Sensory awareness day program

Fortress Youth Development Center – Afterschool program

The WARM Place – Grief support program

American Cancer Society – Hope Lodge campaign

Cancer Care Services – Nutritional supplements

Cornerstone Assistance Network – Diabetic health programs

JDRF Greater Fort Worth Chapter – Diabetic educational program

Mothers Milk Bank of North Texas – Capital campaign

United Way of Tarrant County – Care for the Caregiver program
