LOS ANGELES, March 10, 2014 /3BL Media/ - AECOM Technology Corporation, a leading provider of professional technical and management support services for public and private clients in more than 150 countries around the world, announced today that it will celebrate Red Cross Month in March and bring a higher level of awareness to its more than 10,000 U.S. employees of the beneficial programs and services that the American Red Cross (ARC) offers.

Across the country, ARC chapters will visit AECOM offices to present on four focus areas that are important to AECOM: safety in the workplace, safety in the home, training and certification programs, as well as international programs and services.  Volunteerism and increasing AECOM’s engagement with local Red Cross chapters are also focal points of the firm’s month-long initiative with ARC.

“Red Cross Month reflects AECOM’s unwavering commitment to sustaining a culture built around service and partnership in places where we live and serve,” said Greg Sauter, executive vice president and chief corporate officer.  “This initiative was created by our corporate social responsibility as well as safety, health and environment teams, who worked together to create a program that promotes a proactive safety culture as well as disaster preparedness and provides the opportunity for people to become further engaged with the Red Cross.”

AECOM has a long history of supporting ARC.  Whatever the need, AECOM employees have continuously demonstrated their commitment to disaster response and poverty alleviation, preparedness education and community resiliency to inform, educate and save lives.  AECOM takes employee safety seriously and has partnered with local Red Cross chapters across the country to provide important first aid/CPR training to first responders.
