LOS ANGELES, April 8, 2019 /3BL Media/ -- In support of Earth Month, AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, today launched the “#GoGreen Challenge,” a month-long social media campaign that urges people to calculate their carbon footprint and then take action by conserving more, using less and recycling.

Launching today, the campaign encourages employees and fans to visit www.aeggogreen.com, view AEG’s “1EARTH” sustainability video, learn how to lessen their environmental impact by taking the “#GoGreen Challenge,” and ask others to join the movement by sharing the #GOGREEN Pledge via Facebook and Twitter using the hashtags #AEG1EARTH and #GoGreen.

The program underscores AEG’s belief that it has an opportunity to use the power of sports and music to create significant, positive change in the world. Now, in its second decade of operation, AEG 1EARTH, the company’s industry leading sustainability program, focuses on reducing its environmental footprint with regards to greenhouse gas emissions, water conservation and waste reduction and raising public awareness about important issues facing the industry, communities and planet.

AEG’s Vice President of Energy and Environment, John Marler stated, “Sustainability is increasingly informing consumers’ purchasing habits and behaviors.  Because everyone plays a role in sustainability, this campaign aims to empower people to learn what they can do to reduce their carbon footprint.  Conserving our planet’s resources is a shared endeavor, that not only touches all levels of our organization, but all people in all corners of the globe.
