Vital Voices Global Partnership has received support from Bank of America for a new program to mentor emerging women leaders. The Global Ambassadors Program will mobilize professionals as mentors over the next five years to provide opportunities for hundreds of women in countries such as Haiti India, and South Africa. Vital Voices Global Partnership is an international NGO dedicated to training and mentoring emerging women leaders.
Hanes has received the Energy Star Sustained Excellence Award as a 2012 Energy Star Partner of the Year from the Environmental Protection Agency. Hanes was cited for its commitment to energy efficiency and promotion of sustainable practices. Hanes has created a line of Eco Smart Products, including hoodies, socks, sweats, and tee shirts, made with fabric produced in part from recycled plastic bottles or recycled cotton. This is the company’s third straight Partner of the Year Award.
