BJ’s Charitable Foundation Donates Over $250,000 to Nonprofits Benefitting Children & Families

June 3, 2015 /3BL Media/ - BJ’s Charitable Foundation announced today the donation of 59 grants to nonprofits that will impact the lives of more than 830,000 local residents across its 15-state footprint. As part of its quarterly grant cycle, the Foundation contributed $252,880 to support nonprofits that help improve the communities surrounding BJ’s Wholesale Clubs.

“We are very proud to support these vital organizations as they work to improve the lives of children and families in each of their communities,” said Jessica Newman, Executive Director of the BJ’s Charitable Foundation.

BJ’s Charitable Foundation was established with the mission to enrich every community BJ’s Wholesale Clubs serve. Since its inception in 2005, BJ’s Charitable Foundation has given more than $19 million through grants, annual programs and special initiatives, to over 2,300 community organizations in the 15 states where BJ’s Clubs are located. BJ’s Charitable Foundation contributes the bulk of its funding to organizations that provide services to people in need, specifically in the areas of hunger prevention and education. The next grant application deadline is July 10.
