CECP Announces Jury-Selected Winners of the 2015 Excellence Awards and CECP Board Recognition of Force for Good CEO Honorees
New York, NY, February 23, 2015 /3BL Media/ – CECP, a coalition of 150 CEOs who believe that societal improvement is an essential measure of business performance, announced today that PepsiCo and PwC US are the recipients of the 15th annual Excellence Awards. These companies were chosen by an independent jury as global leaders in corporate societal investment, exemplifying the Award’s four rigorous Standards of Excellence: CEO leadership, partnership, dedication to measurement, and innovation. The Awards were presented at the 2015 Board of Boards at the Time Warner Headquarters in New York City. Accepting on behalf of their companies were Indra K. Nooyi, Chairman and CEO, PepsiCo and Bob Moritz, Chairman and Senior Partner, PwC US.
The Chairman’s Award, for companies with revenues of $20B and more, was presented to PepsiCo for its Safe Water Access program, which prioritized clean water as a key building block for ending world poverty. In 2010, PepsiCo announced its commitment to provide access to safe water for 3 million people by 2015, focusing specifically on water conservation, distribution, purification, and sanitation in countries across the world. PepsiCo has exceeded in its original commitment and doubled the goal to six million people by 2015.

The President’s Award, for companies with revenues less than $20 billion, was presented to PwC US for Earn Your Future, a multi-year, $160 million commitment to advance financial literacy and youth education and impact more than 2.5 million students and educators across the U.S. At the halfway point of the third year of PwC’s Earn Your Future, the firm has delivered more than 530,000 service hours and reached more than 1.2 million students and educators.

The CECP Board launched last year the Force for Good Awards to honor CEO leadership and achievement in corporate societal engagement. The following 2014 Force for Good winners received their award at this year’s Board of Boards event and led the discussion in sessions relevant to their areas of recognition:

- Tom Wilson, Chairman and CEO, Allstate Corporation and Collaboration Force for Good Award honoree
- Hamdi Ulukaya, Founder and CEO, Chobani and Pacesetter Force for Good Award honoree
- Bill George, Former CEO, Medtronic and Lawrence A. Wein Legacy Force for Good Award honoree
This year’s Directors’ Excellence Award, recognizing a partnership between a corporation and a nonprofit and the Charles H. Moore Award for Leadership in Corporate Community Engagement, celebrating a corporate community engagement professional who demonstrates perseverance in the pursuit of societal advancement--will be presented on May 19, 2015 at the CECP Summit.
