Press Release

Corporate Knights, the magazine of “clean capitalism,” has announced its seventh annual Global 100 list of the most sustainable large corporations at the World Economic Forum, held last week in Davos, Switzerland. Since its first edition in 2005, the companies included on the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations list have achieved a return of 55 percent, outperforming its benchmark—the MSCI All Country World index—by more than 16 percent. The 2011 Global 100 includes businesses from 22 countries from all economic sectors, representing annual sales of $3 trillion dollars and five million employees.

Media Tenor, a media research institute, has published the “CSR Index Report” as part of the Reputation Lab held last week during the World Economic Forum. The Report looks at the role of the media in reporting on corporate social responsibility. It focuses on issues such as the profitability of CSR and environmental challenges, and argues that the key to rebuilding trust in business is increased communication on sustainability issues.
