Fifth Third Foundation, Bank Make Donation for Flood Relief

June 10, 2020 /3BL Media/ - The Fifth Third Foundation contributed $10,000 to the United Way of Midland County to support relief efforts for those affected by the floods that devastated Midland, Michigan. Fifth Third Bank will also make a $2,000 donation.

“As our community begins to pick up the pieces from the recent flood devastation, we are beyond grateful to Fifth Third Bank and its Foundation for their support,” said Holly Miller, president and CEO of United Way of Midland County. “Their generosity will directly translate into positive impact here in Midland. Thousands have faced devastation. This gift will help our neighbors meet basic needs as we move forward and rebuild.”

United Way of Midland County has a section of its website dedicated to flood resources, including volunteer opportunities, as well as supplies and monetary donations. Donations to the Rise Together Fund will focus on providing resources to vulnerable and hurting people in Midland County in the wake of the flood and COVID-19.

“Supporting those who are in need is the essence of the Fifth Third Foundation,” said Heidi B. Jark, senior vice president and managing director of the Foundation Office at Fifth Third Bank. “Through these funds we are standing with our communities to help them rebuild.”
