WALTHAM, Mass., May 1, 2018 /3BL Media/ – Forbes Magazine selected National Grid as one of “America’s Best Employers 2018,” ranking in the top 500 companies in the United States. National Grid also received this honor in 2017. National Grid is joined by national and global brands like Google, REI and JetBlue Airways on this list.

“We are incredibly proud to be honored as one of ‘America’s Best Employers’ this year,” said Dean Seavers, President of National Grid, US. “Giving our employees a positive working experience determines how successful we are as a business. This award is a great indicator of how our people feel about working at National Grid. We will always continue to find ways to improve the employee experience.”

About the Ranking

The America's Best Employers list ranks the top 500 employers across 25 different industries. To compile the list, Forbes conducted an independent and anonymous online survey of nearly 30,000 workers at companies with at least 1,000 employees in their U.S. operations.
The survey asked employees to rank how likely they were to recommend their workplace to friends and family on a scale of zero to ten. Those results were the most important factor in determining a company’s ranking, but ranking also took into account companies employees identified as places they would recommend  other than their own.
