SCS Global Services Certifies Grupo Gondi’s Face Shields made with FSC® Certified Paper
EMERYVILLE, Calif., September 23, 2020 /3BL Media/ - Grupo Gondi, a leading paper packaging company in Mexico, has manufactured and distributed more than 7,000 face shields made with Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified paper fiber to its staff and network of business affiliates to increase protection from COVID-19. SCS Global Services (SCS), an internationally recognized third-party certification organization, conducted an independent assessment, certifying Grupo Gondi under the FSC Chain of Custody (CoC) standard (FSC® C134490), and confirming that the paper used in the face shields is responsibly sourced from FSC certified sources.
The face shields offer full face coverage, featuring a large, clear acetate panel sturdy enough for industrial use. The portion of the shield to which the acetate is attached is made of FSC Mix 90% certified paper fiber. Worn over a standard nose and mouth mask, they provide users with an added layer of protection from the virus. Each face shield bears the FSC certification mark, letting users know that FSC certified materials were used.
