Iveco Czech Republic, a.s. Awarded as One of Six Most Successful Companies in the 30-Year History of the AutoSAP Competition “Company of the Year”
July 9, 2019 /3BL Media/ In early June, with participation of members of the government headed by Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, representatives of foreign embassies, guests from the AutoSAP board, and especially of member companies, a gala evening was held to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Automotive Industry Association - AutoSAP.
During this ceremony, which took place in the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle, six of the most successful companies in the thirty-year history of the Company of the Year competition were announced, and IVECO, a commercial vehicles brand of CNH Industrial, featured amongst them. Individual companies are rated on the basis of their economic results achieved over the history of the survey. The rating is based on tough criteria such as profit before tax (EBT), added value per employee, or revenues per employee.
The award was handed over to Jiří Vaněk, General Manager of Iveco Czech Republic, a.s.
“We currently produce 20 buses a day. This makes us the largest bus manufacturing plant in Europe, thus the Czech Republic has become the country which produce the most buses per capita. This result was achieved thanks to the IVECO Czech Republic team, our strategic suppliers, business partners and, of course, our loyal customers,” said Jiří Vaněk, General Manager of Iveco Czech Republic.
Iveco Czech Republic, a .s. contributes significantly to the growth of the Czech economy. It is an important employer in the region that employs over 3,800 people and creates about 1,700 new jobs among Czech subcontractors.
At the 24th annual competition Exporter of the Year, the company won the first place in the category of "Export Growth 1993–2017". Thanks to its success with the intercity product range IVECO Crossway, the European market leader in recent years, Iveco Czech Republic has become the seventh largest Czech exporter. Furthermore, the company was declared the second best “Employer of the Region 2019” in the category of up to 5,000 employees.

The plant in Vysoké Mýto is the biggest production plant of IVECO BUS. IVECO Czech Republic, a. s. follows up with the 90-year-long tradition of bus manufacture in this town. This company, which was know under the Karosa brand from 1948, focused predominantly on bus manufacture as early as in the late 1940s and it has been connected with a whole array of successful and legendary vehicles. Today production includes the Crossway Low Entry, Line, POP and PRO variants, as well as the new Evadys model.
