MetLife Receives Perfect Score on 2016 Corporate Equality Index for 13th Consecutive Year

NEW YORK, December 11, 2015 /3BL Media/ - MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) today announced its recognition as a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality,” receiving a perfect score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the 13thconsecutive year. The CEI is a national benchmarking tool to evaluate companies on their corporate policies and practices relevant to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees.

The 2016 CEI rated more than 850 businesses to evaluate LGBT-related policies and programs, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community.
