Molson Coors Named to DJ Sustainability Indexes; Salesforce Gives $10M for SF Biz Development; AT&T Donates Services to Military - CSR Minute for September 25, 2012
Molson Coors has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index for the second consecutive year. Molson Coors is one of only seven companies included in the Food and Beverage category. The beverage company has also been listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, and was named Beverage Sector leader.
The Salesforce.com Foundation is giving $10 million in grants to support development in San Francisco’s District 10. Five anchor grantees—Year Up, UCSF, San Francisco General Hospital Foundation and the Southeast Health Center, the Exploratorium, and the Campaign for Hope SF—are receiving targeted funding to expand capacity and programs. The funds represent a mix of capital and program support.
AT&T’s “Cell Phones for Soldiers” has provided 150 million minutes of talk time and $75 million in communications expenses for American military personnel, including free cell phones, since its launch eight years ago. C.P.S. has also recycled 10 million phones for service men and women. Other companies sponsoring the program include Chevrolet, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Comcast, Recellular, and Verizon.
