(3BL Media) July 9, 2012 - Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE: MRO) has published its “Living Our Values 2011 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report,” which provides information on the Company’s non-financial performance and its actions to promote sustainable social, environmental and economic benefits.

This is Marathon Oil’s first report as an independent international energy company, following the successful 2011 spin-off of its refining, marketing and transportation business. The new report continues to track the Company’s CSR progress across 16 goals in the areas of governance, society, environment and the workplace.

The report contains a “2011 Performance Report Card” for the Company’s CSR targets and provides examples of specific policies, programs and practices designed to achieve these goals. Marathon Oil’s 2011 CSR milestones included exceeding its goals for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving energy efficiency. The Company also improved its safety performance in 2011 from the prior year.
