The Michigan Diversity Council Presents the Inaugural National Native American Summit
November 4, 2021 /3BL Media/ - The Michigan Diversity Council (MIDC) presents the National Native American Summit taking place on Tuesday, November 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. EST. The event, in partnership with the National Diversity Council (NDC) will focus on the theme “Standing Together and Taking Action.”
The summit will include a keynote address from The Rush Group Founder and CEO, Andra Rush, general panel discussions, and breakout sessions that focus on the Native American/Indigenous community and diversity, equity and inclusion topics. Title sponsors include Flagstar Bank and Spectrum Health; the gold sponsor is Consumers Energy and the silver sponsors include the Consulate of Canada in Detroit, Doctors Without Borders, Michigan University, New Jersey Resources and USAA.
This inaugural summit will address and educate organizations on their efforts to foster outreach and inclusion of Native American/Indigenous people. In addition, it will serve as a platform for organizations, leaders and individuals to share their stories, experiences, best practices and contributions in increasing Native American/Indigenous representation and creating a more equitable and inclusive workplace.
Angeles Valenciano, Chief Executive Officer of the National Diversity Council recognizes the importance of honoring the heritage of Native American/Indigenous people.
