Background:

CBSR revealed the Transformational Company Framework at last year's Summit. We asked 150+ delegates at our Summit: what would help operationalize the Transformational Company qualities at their companies? They responded resoundingly:  supply chain and industry engagement.

This event will provide insights on the role companies can play to engage their supply chain and industry peers and competitors to accelerate and scale up sustainability.

Supply Chain Engagement:

Supply chain risks - with a potential to significantly affect revenue - are now greater than ever, and are affecting companies’ operations or are expected to have an effect within the next five years. There is a strong business case for supply chain collaboration.

Companies that are actively engaging their suppliers are realizing business value through multiple areas such as operational efficiency, emissions reductions, improved working conditions, and product and service innovation. Leading companies are also engaging their business customers to help them reduce their impacts, while creating competitive advantage for themselves.  By working closely with up and downstream supply chain partners, companies can discover innovative solutions and drive impactful action.

Industry Engagement:

Recognizing they cannot become sustainable on their own, more and more companies are collaborating within their industry, as well as across sectors, to address complex social and environmental value chain challenges.  By tackling system industrial change with peers and competitors, companies can pool resources, tap into industry knowledge, share and reduce risk, level the playing field, eliminate costly duplication, and benefit from increased influence.

In this session, you will learn:

  • Opportunities to scale your sustainability efforts and achieve systemic change
  • Business value of successful supplier, customer and industry collaboration
  • Lessons from practitioners experienced in value chain and industry activation
  • Details on a tool to help your company become transformational
