Tri-Sector Leaders Convene for First Ever Global Engagement Forum to Address Global Challenges through Collaboration and Innovation

The Global Engagement Forum showcases partnerships and approaches that can effectively advance the Sustainable Development Goals

WASHINGTON, September 11, 2015 /3BL Media/ - The Global Engagement Forum, hosted by PYXERA Global on November 10 and 11 at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., is one of the first events to address how private sector leaders can take action on the Sustainable Development Goals. The Sustainable Develop Goals, also known as the Global Goals, are set to be ratified mid-September by the United Nations on September 25-27. The 17 Goals, which expand on the 8 Millennium Development Goals that will sunset in 2015, are ambitious targets, designed to generate momentum to ensure healthy, prosperous lives for all.

The Global Engagement Forum will engage leaders and innovators from the private, social, and public sectors in discussions on how collaboration, coordination, and commitment can advance the SDGs.

Individually, these organizations are fostering commitments to the Global Goals, including affordable nutrition, innovative healthcare, robust education, women’s empowerment, accessible water and sanitation, meaningful employment, infrastructure, and innovation, to name just a few of the priorities captured by the 17 goals.

Both Deborah Holmes and Alicia Lenze will speak on the topic of education and employment at the upcoming Forum.

Following the Forum, on November 12, PYXERA Global will hold a live broadcast at the Newseum’s Knight Studio from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET, concurrent with a global dialogue via Twitter® (#SDGforum), to amplify key lessons on tri-sector partnership from the two-day Forum.
