On Wednesday, November 10, 2010, 200 bloggers will take a stand to support books printed on environmentally-friendly paper by simultaneously publishing reviews of 200 such books. Launched by Eco-Libris, this campaign aims to raise awareness about the need to use environmentally-friendly paper in book publishing, and to encourage book buyers to take the paper into consideration when purchasing books.

Since 2001 all of New Society's titles have been printed on acid-free paper that is 100% old growth forest-free (100% post-consumer recycled), processed chlorine free, and printed with vegetable based, low VOC inks. We were the first North American publisher to make such a commitment and we have printed over half a million books this way, helping to start a revolution in the publishing industry.
