Today is Blog Action Day 2009! It’s an annual event in which bloggers around the world unite behind one topic and write about it on October 15th. This year's theme, as luck would have it, is climate change.

Given Brighter Planet’s mission we’re rather steeped in climate change blogging, but today we’d like to shine a light on one of the things we’re most proud of – the community-based climate projects that our members have come together to bring to life.  We all know that high-level political leadership will be critical in tackling the climate change crisis, but we also now see that individuals working on the ground to fight climate change in small ways can make an important and inspiring difference. ...
