Cleveland, OH - BrownFlynn, a sustainability and corporate responsibility consulting firm, launched a new division, BrownFlynn Learning. An extension of its niche consulting services, BrownFlynn Learning will offer a variety of sustainability and corporate responsibility education and training courses.

Spurring the creation of the new division, BrownFlynn was selected by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) as its first U.S.-based certified training partner earlier this year.

GRI is the most widely adopted nonfinancial reporting framework in the world and is used to help communicate sustainability performance and encourage transparency and accountability.

"We went through a competitive selection process and were ultimately chosen to deliver this unique program to U.S.-based organizations," says Principal and Co-Owner Barbara Brown.

BrownFlynn Learning will offer The GRI Process as its signature course and has other sustainability training courses in development.

"The GRI Process is a two-day workshop and provides attendees with a comprehensive overview of reporting their company's environmental, social and economic policies," explains Beth Meany, Director of BrownFlynn Learning. "Our curriculum drills down the reporting process in a digestible way, allowing people to understand the practical application of the GRI framework. This practice often enhances or even establishes a company's sustainability strategy."

"The core of our business has always been about the triple bottom line - people, planet and prosperity," says Brown. "BrownFlynn Learning further solidifies our commitment to and belief in the importance of educating others on corporate citizenship."

BrownFlynn Learning will offer its first open-enrollment sessions in Cleveland on August 24th/25th and September 21st/22nd while the division's first conference training is planned for October 23rd-25th at Valparaiso University.
