November 14, 2011 - Drought in Eastern Africa. Earthquakes in Haiti. Flooding in the United States and Australia. These global disasters are hardest on the children of families who must contend with disruptions to their lives and livelihood. CSCers around the world continue to share their desire to get involved and help these children — and the Global CSC Gives Back Challenge gives CSC employees and our extended stakeholders the opportunity to do just that. 

CSC Gives Back is CSC’s global community engagement program designed to provide regional and local flexibility, yet focus our resources.
 
The CSC Gives Back Challenge works as follows:

• The first stage of the Global CSC Gives Back Challenge launches November 1, 2011, and will continue until March 1, 2012.
• During this time, we will challenge each employee and any other stakeholders who want to join us to give monetary donations to Child Fund International. The minimum donation is $5.00 (USD), but our giving goal is to net an average of $1.00 (USD) per employee by the end of the Challenge.
• In March, we will tally our contribution — and that’s when the true engagement begins.

• The challenge will continue during FY13. Employees will be invited to participate on teams and each team will sponsor one child. Sponsorship is as simple as writing the child one letter a month, but it can involve much more, such as providing additional services for that child's community or school.

 
In this way the Global CSC Gives Back Challenge will not only raise important funds, but it will also have a lasting impact in the lives of children while creating camaraderie across the company globally.
