(3BL Media) Falls Church, VA - July 11, 2012 - CSC (CSC) announced that it has been awarded Gold Level Achievement for the American Heart Association’s (AHA) 2012 Fit-Friendly Companies Recognition program.

CSC received the recognition by the AHA’s ”My Heart. My Life.” initiative for offering employees physical activity support, providing healthy eating options at the worksite, promoting a wellness culture and achieving a workplace of overall wellness. The judging was based on the nine criteria outlined by the AHA related to physical activity, nutrition and corporate culture.

In addition to recognizing CSC’s support for good nutrition and well-being, the award highlights CSC’s Global Get Fit Challenge, which took place from September 2011 to January 2012, and involved 66 global teams of more than 1,300 CSC employees overall in a friendly competition tracking their steps of physical activity. During this competition, CSC employees walked more than 564 million steps while building team camaraderie and engagement.
