CVS Helps Hurricane Isaac Relief; Deloitte Sponsors College Tour for Olympic/Paralympic Athletes; Build-A-Bear Workshop Supports Childrens' Cancer Causes - CSR Minute for September 10, 2012

The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust and CVS Pharmacy have given $20,000 dollars in support of communities affected by Hurricane Isaac. Cash and 1,000 first aid kits have been provided to the American Red Cross for relief and recovery efforts.

Deloitte is sponsoring a tour of ten colleges by Olympic and Paralympic athletes now through October 9th. The athletes will share with students the lessons in leadership that helped them achieve success in their individual sports and lives. Students will also be able to network with Deloitte recruiters who plan to fill 7,000 positions this year through campus hires.

Through September 16th, Build-a-Bear Workshop invites visitors to its stores to support children’s cancer causes by making a donation of $1 dollar or more to the Build-A-Bear Workshop Foundation, either in store or online. In Canada, visitors can purchase purple satin hearts for $1 dollar in all Canadian stores. Also, for each Champ Bear purchased, the company will donate $1 dollar to support children’s cancer causes.
